Linux Integration

Integration: Linux with Microsoft, Novell or Unix

Linux has another benefit to help organizations take advantage of what the operating system has to offer - it works well with other systems like Microsoft, Novell or Unix. This is important because most companies already have services or vital software packages that are working well, but they need Linux to cover other network functions.

Linux supports most protocols, including TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, NetBEUI and AppleTalk... which is a technical way to say that a Linux server will work well with other operating systems. If your organization has a (MS) Windows2000 file server that also runs the accounting software, you don't have to add a Windows2000 Exchange server unless it meets your needs. Linux can cover mail operations for the network along with a host of other services such as: Web Server, File Server, Print Server, Proxy Server, DNS Server, Firewall, and more.

Many organizations are already using Linux servers on the same network with other operating systems. Don't hesitate to call 952-943-8700 with any questions or to learn more about Linux.
